TMJ/TMD Treatment and Therapy in Airdrie
At Blunston Dental Group in Airdrie, Alberta, we offer TMJ/TMD therapy for patients experiencing discomfort.
What is TMJ/TMD?
Temporomandibular Joint Disorders occur when there are problems with the muscles in your face that control your jaw. Your temporomandibular joint connects your jaw to the temporal bones of your skull, which are in front of each ear.
How do I know if I have TMJ/TMD?
Some common symptoms of TMD include jaw pain, earaches, difficulty chewing, and chronic head, neck, and facial pain.
Often these symptoms are caused by an imbalance in your posture or your bite.
The function of this joint enables you move your jaw side to side, and up and down so that you can chew, talk, and yawn.
